Meet the maker
Our story
It all started with my internal need to modify and make better the tools around me. That coupled with a bet with a friend, drew on my competitive drive to develop a better vacuum cup for re-chucking bowls and more easily turning a better foot. That friend went on to sell many of those vacuum cups at a trade show which opened my eyes to how many people had an interest in my new design. With many other tools already in use in my personal workshop, it made sense to say hello world by launching a web presence so I would have a stage to interact with like-minded souls.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
“There’s got to be a better way to do that.”The inside of my brain must be wallpapered with this repeating pattern. Day or night, whatever I look at gets filtered through this lens. Whether a tool or process already exists or it is one of my own, … I can’t leave well-enough alone. Being a tool user I very much care about how I interact with a tool. Getting the job done is only a bare minimum to judge a tool by. How well I flow when using the tool, and how the tool fits into the overall Big Picture is of great importance when evaluating its success.
