The Mono series vacuum chucks are a culmination of all the lessons learned in the 3N1 series vacuum chucks. The 3N1 series is still the best and most frugal entry into vacuum chucking on a wood lathe. All OddNot vacuum chucks interchangeably use the same AngelWing seals that holds on tight and offer forgiveness when needed. In the Mono series vacuum chucks the FrictionLotus is built into the monolithic form, no accessories are needed. Along the edge of the cup you will see two alternating types of pads. One set of pads are for gripping and creating friction that keeps your bowl or part from slipping. The other pads serve two purposes. They protect your art work and they protect the friction pads from premature ware. Each Mono cup comes with the appropriate size AngelWing seal, friction pads, and protection pads (extra protection and friction pads are included).

The #4 Mono is a 4 inch diameter vacuum chuck precisely CNC machined from one solid billet of aircraft aluminum. A mounting thread size of (1 1/4”-8) is standard. This vacuum cup connects to your lathe with a polyethylene tube that runs through your lathe’s headstock and then presses into the back side of the cup. There are no threaded rods, special nuts or other hardware thats needed. For those of you who already have a custom fit outboard vacuum adapter for your lathe the polyethylene tube is not required. Simply screw our chuck on your spindle and begin working.
